Pine Ridge Resort Pilgrimage ~1st Day: Path of Substantial Restoration~

On the 15th day of the 5th month of heavenly calendar (July 4, 2012) the 219 participants from the '2012 Chung Pyung Special 40-day Workshop for International 2nd Generation' and the '2012 Chung Pyung Special 40-day Workshop for University Students' went to Pine Ridge Resort (Cheon Jeong Won) pilgrimage. With the purpose to relax and enjoy the beautiful Korean nature and recover from long journeys from around the world, Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim sends the International 2nd Generation participants to Pine Ridge Resort every year. The resort is also known as the Cheon Jeong Won where True Parents recovered from the horrifying 2008 helicopter accident. So not only does Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim want the participants to enjoy and relax but she also wished the members to inherit the heart of God and True Parents.

After the morning Chanyang Yeoksa session of July 4, all the participants gathered in front of True Parents' calligraphy stone to get on 5 buses. The trip took one hour and forty minutes and everyone safely arrived at the resort. The resort is located in the city of Seokcho located alongside the north east coast of South Korea and an hour drive from the Demilitarized Zone.

As soon as the participants arrived they first ate lunch at the restaurant 'IRIS', a buffet style food. Most of the participants were struggling with the all Korean food at Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center so everyone was happy to see hamburger, French-fries, and vegetables.

After lunch, participants changed into their swimming gear and then went to Seokcho Beach. The weather was fantastic with the sun glaring down on the participants. After a few minutes of exercise and safety regulations, they all jumped into the water and enjoyed their afternoon. For almost 3 hours, the members enjoyed swimming, Frisbee, beach soccer, MATANAGE, and other activities.

Just after 5 o'clock in the evening, the participants regrouped and headed back to the bus for Pine Ridge Resort.

After, yet another, delicious dinner served at IRIS, the participants got onto the bus and toured the Pine Ridge Resort. Separating into brothers group lead by Mr. In-pyo Moon, International Lecturer and sisters group lead by Mrs. Sachika Hayashi, Chung Pyung Staff, the participants toured around the place where True Parents stayed after the helicopter accident.

At True Parents calligraphy stone 'Cheon Jeong Won' Lecturer Moon explained the significance and meaning of the words. After a sincere unison prayer offered by the brothers, Lecturer Moon bestowed words to the brothers. He asked the members to inherit the true love of God and True Parents and especially inherit the traditions and value of True Parents. He emphasized the importance of being a blessed child and asked the brothers to value their lineage, purity and their selves.

Then Lecturer Moon lead the brothers down to the building where True Parents recovered from the helicopter accident. He again, explained the significance of what this building represented and asked all the members to help True Father in his providence. He shared True Parents recovery story which inspired many of the brothers to pray sincerely with their hearts.

After the tour the brothers and sisters group joined together and took a commemorative photograph in their teams and went back to their rooms to end an enjoyable day.
