Pine Ridge Resort Pilgrimage ~2nd Day: Path of Substantial Restoration~

On the 6th day of the 5th month of heavenly calendar (July 5, 2012), the 2nd day of the Pine Ridge Resort Pilgrimage for the participants of '2012 Chung Pyung Special 40-day Workshop for International 2nd Generation' and the '2012 Chung Pyung Special 40-day Workshop for University Students' started with a beautiful breakfast at the Main Hall in the Club House. The 219 members then got on the bus to head for Seorak mountain national park to climb to Heundulbai (shakable rock).

The path up to the shakable rock took around 30 minutes and all the participants enjoyed the natural scenery and had a great time going up the mountain. After taking couple of commemorative photographs at the shakable rock, the participants hiked back to the bus and came back to Pine Ridge Resort.

After eating lunch, all the participants got on the bus and went to the Demilitarized Zone and visited the Unification Observatory. It was very powerful to see North Korea knowing that there are ongoing suffering happening in North Korea. After a brief explanation by Uncle Michael Callahan, main father figure and lecturer for the workshop, the participants offered a sincere prayer for the unification of North and South. It was very inspiring for the participants to see the reality of North and South and it helped them understand more of True Parents' sincere heart of unifying the two nations. All the participants made a strong determination to become the central figures in helping the unification of these two countries.

After an inspiring trip to the unification observatory, the participants returned to Pine Ridge Resort for dinner and entertainment. The entertainment consisted a number of performances by the participants and everyone enjoyed it. Before the entertainment, Rev. Myeong-gwan Lee, General Director of Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center came and spoke words. He asked the members to think carefully of the time that they spend every single moment of their lives. He ended his speech asking everyone to enjoy the entertainment and the evening prepared at Pine Ridge Resort.

After being introduced by Mr. In-pyo Moon, M. Stewart, the MC, came to the stage and began the entertainment. There were 9 performances that created a very good atmosphere; 1st performance was done by the Staff of the workshop who sang 'Viva La Vida' by cold play, followed by two songs sang by two talented members, Hyomi Carti and Jason Melchiorre. The 3rd performance was done by the British participants of both workshops and they sang 'God Save the Queen' and 'Jerusalem'. There was a very unique and fantastic dance performed by Akifumi Yuzawa. Then there was a magic performance by the Staff of the workshop which made all the participants laugh off their seats. After a funny performance, Sarah Tracey and Hyomi Carti came to the stage and sang 'On the Radio' beautifully. After another beautiful song by Aika Callahan and Erika Miyamura who sang the 'Thousand Years' a band performance was done by a group of university students. Before ending the performance, two determined participants from the high school team came to the stage and danced a very short yet entertaining piece. Then Mr. Moon came to the stage and sang 'I love you' in Korean with the other workshop leaders.

After the entertainment, members went to the Spa and Sauna to relieve their fatigue from the busy yet inspiring day.
