Tongil Group Executives Chung Pyung Special Workshop

Following the Will of True Parents, the 'Tongil Group Executives Chung Pyung Special Workshop' (Special Workshop) was held at Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training center from October 11 to 13 for 3 days and 41 Tongil Executives participated. Through the lectures by Rev. Jin-chun Kim, President of CheongShim Graduate School of Theology and Rev. Yeong-ho Ha, President of Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center, Dae Mo Nim's Words and the Chanyang Yeoksa sessions, the Special Workshop provided a time for the executives of Tongil Group to make a resolution to stand in the front line of the construction of Cheon Il Guk.

At 3 pm on the first day (Oct. 11) the opening ceremony for the Special Workshop was held at the Small Hall of Cheonseong Wanglim Palace. At the opening address, Mr. Song-pyo Hong, Secretary General of Tongil Group, testified about the beginning years of Chung Pyung Works.

'Since the beginning of Chung Pyung Works (1995) I would often come here. In December of 1996, a 40-day workshop for pastors began. I was a standing director at Sun Moon University at the time so I attended this workshop with other faculties of Sun Moon University. At the time, the Cheonseong Wanglim Palace was not built and all the lecture halls were made by tents. We never had chairs and we would sit on the ground to do Chanyang Yeoksa. There were no sleeping quarters so we had to sleep next to each other. At that time I heard one of the young pastor saying, 'This place is like heaven. At our church we don't even have a stove and it's cold but it's not cold here!' When I heard this I shed tears.'

After reading True Parents' words spoken in the beginning of 1970s about the beginning of Chung Pyung Works he spoke about the meaning of this Special Workshop.

'Now you understand through True Parents' words for the direction that Chung Pyung Works has.

First, following the master plan which existed in Rev. Dong-mung Ung, of Shimon Construction. They said that they would first build a world village and then import representative construction and culture of the 5 great continents. Also they planned to make a Disney Land quality theme park around Chung Pyung Lake. True Father also said at the time to make a cable car to go up and down the mountain.

There is no other person who walked around this area as much as True Father. True Father climbed all the mountains around this area. He would climb the mountain and instruct to buy land. All the land which was bought by the foundation was walked by True Parents and that's how much sincere devotion was invested in Chung Pyung Works as well.

(From the late 1960s) When he went abroad, he would come to this place and offer sincere prayers and with such foundation of sincere devotion he would go out and come back and offer more conditions. This is such place. Now, after conducting the Inauguration Ceremony and the Seonghwa Ceremony you can see that this place is a magnificent place for Unification Church.

Not only for the members of the Unification Church, before and after the Seonghwa Ceremony, had this place also become a place to remember by more than 200,000 people who visited Chung Pyung Holy Ground. To be able to attend such 3-day Workshop at such important place where True Parents offered so much sincere devotion has great historical and symbolical meaning and period.'

After the opening ceremony the first lecture was done by Rev. Ha with the title 'Chung Pyung Special Lecture'. Through this lecture the executives were able to deepen their understanding for Chung Pyung Works that centers on Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim and make new determinations through the testimony of Heung Ji Nim and Dae Mo Nim's life course.

The 2nd day started with a 5:00 am Hoon Dok Hae followed by climbing up to the holy ground. Rev. Kim started this day with his lectures; 'Understanding of God and True Parents' and 'Formation of the 3 Great Blessings and Ways and Practices'. Through the lectures the executives were able to once again deeply understand True Parents' Ideal. The executives then followed the schedule of the Chung Pyung 2-day Special Workshop and attended Rev. Myeong-gwan Lee, General Director of Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center, lecture 'Chung Pyung Lecture'.

The 3rd day consisted of Dae Mo Nim's precious words and the grace of ancestor liberation ceremony.
