Greetings again from New York.
Chung Pyung Lake:
Our intrepid troops in Korea, Mike Leone, Jorg Heller and In Gui Jeong, visited Chung Pyung Lake yesterday to prepare for our Prayer Summit Jubilee. They returned with glory in their hearts because they met Dae Mo Nim. She said she is looking forward to our ministers coming and she is willing to speak to them. They are preparing a banner, they have musical instruments and an upgraded dinner and it will be great. A few things to be aware of and pass onto our guests as appropriate:
1. When they go into the Temple they absolutely have to take off their shoes.
2. We requested a few hundred chairs for those who need them. The request is going to Dae Mo Nim and we do not have the answer. But in any case most of us will sit on a heated wooden floor.
3. Tell people to bring warm clothes and umbrellas.
4. If you have a great musician, or combo coming, or great singer, let Rev. Daugherty know. He's reachable at Levy900@aol.com. Levy‹they said it might be a good idea to bring any musicians up early to practice.
5. There are going to be 8,000 people there for a liberation ceremony, leaving around 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
6. The store there is big and beautiful and full of True Parents and Dae Mo Nim's photos and memorabilia. It ain't no Christian bookstore. Be advised.
7. Remember, this site is a shrine to the Lord of the Second Advent, Reverend and Mrs. Moon the True Parents of all mankind. Let's pray that this can be a total breakthrough for which True Father has been waiting 55 years.
The Paperwork:
As Dr. David S. C. Kim used to say, life is like going to the toilet. It's not over until the paperwork is done. Well, the paperwork isn't done yet for our venture and I want to let you know the state of affairs.
Keep in mind that normal satanic people would take 6 months to a year to plan this scale of a tour. We unusual satanic people try to do it in six weeks, and most of it in the last six days. It is like giving yourself 20 minutes to prepare a turkey dinner, and having it change from turkey to ham to steak and back to turkey during that time. Naturally there are major gliches. For example, we thought there would be 500 going Plan A, and there are less than 200. Therefore, we have to cancel 300 room reservations, all in one hotel. That hotel is threatening to charge full price for those rooms. Another area of trouble has been the forms. Corrections due to misspellings, changes, duplications, first name/last name reversals, have necessitated Go-World to hire five people just to work on database updating. The core Go-World staff is working until 5 a.m. everyday. In this light, I approved the following:
Today they are issuing tickets for the names on the "master list" that they received from you on Sunday. Here is how this happened, to my knowledge. By the deadline of midnight last Thursday, and into Friday morning, GWT received between 1,000 and 2,000 forms. They counted them by region and then we had the conference call Friday night and found that their numbers and the field's numbers were different. So we asked the field to send in the master lists by Sunday noon. Mr. Yoshida, Mrs. Lee, Magnus and I reviewed all those lists on Monday morning, calling several regions in the process. Together we agreed on the lists and approved each one. Those lists are being ticketed (except for cancellations) and I am taking my life in my hands and signing off each one, and then the tickets are going out by FedEx beginning tonight. The first departures are on Feb 7.
I expect there will be disappointments and mistakes‹people who expected tickets and did not get them and people for whom tickets are issued and do not need them. But we cannot do anything more. We cannot do any substitutions, Korean Airlines does not allow us to do that. They have a waiting list for our seats, for which they can charge a much higher price. Please do not call us to ask for any changes or additions.
We ask that you send back all tickets that are not used. GWT must have the physical tickets to obtain refunds.
The Matching Couples Hotel
After discussing with several leaders, I have decided that the matching couples will stay in the same hotel as the rest of the people in their region. Separating them was my idea in the first place, and wiser people than I have counseled against it and I'm happy to drop the idea.
Thank you, ITN
