Dear Educator,
Greetings! In keeping with our promise and in response to ongoing requests, we have scheduled our second National Educators Conference. This year’s conference will be held again at UTS beginning the evening of Friday, October 31 and concluding Sunday morning, November 2. Last year’s conference offered unexpected benefits to Sunday school teachers, public and/or private school teachers and administrators, second-generation youth leaders, church leaders and pastors, and this year’s will be even better.
This year’s program will focus on five general subject areas – children’s ministry, youth ministry, young adult ministry, family ministry, and schooling: public, private, and home. There will be Breakout Sessions on professional development, a Best Practices Rotation, a Resource Fair, a Poster Session on new ideas and what’s working in the field, an opportunity to join an action committee in an area you’re passionate about, and ample time for networking and planning. In addition, on Friday, October 31st we will offer a selection of pre-conference half and full-day workshops with optional continuing education credits. If you are interested in considering these, please register in early October, when the topics and presenters are announced.
To better prepare for this year’s conference, we need your input. Please complete the attached questionnaire and return it to us as soon as possible. It will help us prepare an appropriate and useful program. We also plan to expand our exhibit area, so we again ask that you bring your materials and prepare to share what you do in our "best practices" forum and poster sessions.
