MEMORANDUM
1. Special 21 and 40 Day National Prayer Conditions
June 1 -- 21: The 21-Day Prayer Condition:
On Sunday, June 1st we will begin a special prayer condition in support of the Global Peace Festival. The condition will go from Sunday, June 1 -- Saturday, June 21. Starting with prayer on Sunday, June 1st, all families are asked to pray together (and when they can, as families gathered together) for 7 minutes each day.
1. For True Parents and True Family’s protection and the realization of True Parents’ hopes for the Elder Son Nation in 2008.
2. Unity with Continental Director Dr. Pyung Hwa Kim and all leaders and families in America, as well as the leaders of all supporting organizations.
3. Success of the Global Peace Festival and unity between all Ambassadors for Peace and all organizations that are affiliated with Global Peace Festival.
4. That Religious leaders will rise up, creating a “movement” for Interfaith Dialog for resolving conflict, to open the way for peace in the Middle East, between North and South Korea, and in every community in America and nation in the world.
Practical Conditions:
1. Read one Peace Message each day from the Pyung Hwa Hoon Gyeong, also read God’s Hope for America (October 21, 1973), Christianity in Crisis (4th Message in the book God’s Warning to the World), Chung Seong Gyeong on Witnessing.
2. Join and attend a Family Fellowship Group at least once per month.
3. Tithe 10 % to your local church.
4. Encourage your children (18 and up) to attend the witnessing summit and to join or support the Pilot program in California for the Witnessing Summit.
July 1 -- August 9: The 40-Day Condition (Prayer points and conditions will be announced in late June)
2. Volunteers for outreach and service activities In preparation for the Global Peace Festival, all FFWPU members ages 18 and over are encouraged to give one or two weeks of full-time service in the Washington, D.C. metro area. For those giving 40 days, housing and meals and some expenses will be covered. Please email if you are interested.
3. National Family Summit The first National Family Summit will be held from August 9 -- 11. We will start with the Global Peace Festival in front of the Capitol with the Global Family Expo Experience from 2 -- 5 pm. The core program of the Festival (performances, service recognition, interfaith recognition and key addresses) will be from 5 -- 8 pm (tentative). Please plan now for your participation. Reserve space for home-stay with one of the 400 families in D.C. Sunday, August 10 we will gather at the Convention Center and have break-out sessions. We are expecting to have addresses by Dae Mo Nim, True Family, and key leaders. More details will be announced concerning these special guests.
