MEMORANDUM
Thank you for completing the 21 day prayer and study condition today. On July 1st we will begin a special 40 day period of prayer, study and offering from July 1 -- August 9th.
Outreach to gain new members through the witnessing summit will be our main priority.
Global Peace Festival - The Global Peace Festival is a joint effort by a number of organizations that are in partnership with the Universal Peace Federation. The festival will be held in every continent in 2008. You can catch the spirit of the GPF by watching the video at www.globalpeacefestival.org in the video section of the website. The Global Peace Festival was developed from a vision of UPF Co-Chairman Dr. Hyun Jin Moon. The Family Church, ACLC and other related organizations are in full support of this beautiful ongoing program that has begun service projects, interfaith dialogue and fellowship throughout the East Coast. It will culminate in conferences for youth, Ambassadors for Peace and clergy. The finale will be a beautiful program uplifting faith in God as the reason that all faiths and cultures can live in harmony together in America.
The GPF USA will be held in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, August 9th at 4 PM. All families are encouraged to attend this historic event that emphasizes Compassion, Family and Peace. We ask that every district send as many volunteers as possible with a minimum of 7 (with 5 being youth) from July 1 -- August 9th. All families from the East Coast are asked to bring their Family Fellowship colleagues and members. We ask that each family bring three guests. All clergy, Ambassadors for Peace, women and youth leaders are being invited through their respective organizations.
Family Summit - The Family Federation’s National Family Summit will be held from August 10 -- 11 in Maryland. A more detailed memo on the schedule and plan for the Family Summit will be sent out this coming week by the FFWPU Education Department. All families of all generations are encouraged to attend. Dr. Hyun Jin Moon UPF Co Chair and FFWPU International President Dr. Hyung Jin Moon and other key speakers will address our families. There will also be breakouts for Family Fellowship, the Witnessing Summit and other ministries. There will be a special youth concert included.
Offering -- Please be confident that our collective sacrifice for the sake of the nation and the world will bring a double portion of blessing for our families and future generations. Therefore we ask that all families offer $700 and individual members give $350 to support special programs and activities this summer. Please send your donation to your District Headquarters as soon as possible.
