Dear Blessed Central Families and Members,
The eighth year of Cheon Il Guk, inscribed with True Parents' glorious victories and miracles, is concluding, and a new year is dawning.
The footprints that True Parents and True Family created for God's Providence last year will remain forever as an historic landmark. We could feel from the depth of our hearts the value of True Parents, particularly through the helicopter accident, through the unbelievable miracle of their rescue. Nobody could believe that this type of miracle could happen, resulting in their substantial resurrection.
We had no words to comfort the aching heart of Heavenly Father and True Parents. We felt our lack of faith and ability, and spent a lot of time in repentance this past year.
This is a time of transformation, when the world is suffering from the recent economic crisis in America. This crisis is also seriously affecting our organizations and our families. I believe that the only way to overcome this kind of world economic crisis is if all the world's peoples come back to God to solve the problem. Let's take a look at our own lives and see if we are setting the right spiritual conditions for God to work at this time in history. If not, let's make a new beginning in this new year, so that we can fulfill our responsibility as those chosen to play central roles for God's Providence at this time.
The Completed Testament Age is a time of justification through attendance, and we must now establish Cheon Il Guk through attending True Parents and the True Family. True Family members are working hard to fulfill God's Will at this time. In Jin Nim, as Chairperson of the American movement, totally captured members' hearts, especially the second generation, as a mother figure and educator. Hyun Jin Nim has been leading us through the UPF and Global Peace Festivals towards the establishment of One Family under God. It was tremendously successful and victorious. Kook Jin Nim generated a strong financial pillar of support, and provided organizational management. Sun Jin Nim, while running Happy World and Seil Travel, has been reaching out to members in Korea and Japan. Hyung Jin Nim has been spearheading a spiritual awakening through building a strong church foundation. They are not only precious filial children, but they are also brave generals for God. We really have to unite centering on True Parents and True Family members, and march forward towards the year 2013 to establish Cheon Il Guk.
In this new year, this 9th year of Cheon Il Guk, in which we will celebrate True Father's 90th Birthday, let's try to achieve the following goals: First, let's be people of faith. The castle of Jericho was brought down by people with absolute faith. It is said that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. With True Parents on our side, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. I love the saying that, "Where there is a will, there is a way." Let's make this a year in which we show our faith as chosen children of God.
Second, this year, let's be dreamers, who dream of Cheon Il Guk with hope in our hearts. Only people with a dream can become victorious. President Obama had a dream of changing America, and won the election when he challenged himself to fulfill his dream. What kind of hope do you have in your hearts? We must be born again as a ray of light that shines on a dark place of despair.
Third, let's practice true love. Love is sharing with others and acting for the sake of others. Through love, we can feel that God is with us, and our hearts can be filled with extraordinary joy. Until we can act out of love, we haven't really learned what love is. When we learn what love is, then we can for the first time understand God's love. Understanding God's love is only way to learn how to bring true peace to our friends and acquaintances. That is the first step to establishing a peaceful world.
Fourth, let's become one in heart. If we can unite as brothers and sisters, then nothing will be impossible for us. Before challenging the world, we must be united as one. In order to become one, we need sincere dialogue. We have to be able to communicate our hearts to one another. On such a foundation, anything is possible. In this new year, let's truly communicate with one another heart-to-heart with a loving disposition.
On the foundation of these four pillars of faith, hope, love and heart, we have to focus on WITNESSING! I believe that the most important thing we need now in America is witnessing, to increase family members. How to bring a witnessing renaissance in America was my first word at the HQ building when I first visited. Still, it is far from reality. Is a witnessing revolution impossible in America? God is alive. Let's speak the truth about God, the greatness of True Parents, about God's blessing. Don't hesitate to proclaim and witness. It is the time of fruition for the historical work of restoration.
May God bless America and all blessed family members so that God's dream will be realized on this earth.
