Thank you for your prayers and efforts to uplift marriage and family as the essential root and foundation of our society and nation. The re-election of President Bush means that his policies to promote faith-based efforts in the service arena, to encourage marriage through his Healthy Marriages Initiative, and his support of traditional family values will continue and hopefully expand. That is good news for America's families. Please pray for God's blessing and guidance for our President.

As you know, True Parents called for prayer worldwide that God would guide the US election. Father himself maintained a prayer vigil, along with a large group of leaders in Korea, throughout the actual election time. This final prayer vigil came after significant investment of heart and spirit that God could guide America's decision. It is a great grace and blessing that God could guide our nation - this is indeed a significant time.

It is now time for our nation to come together, to go beyond the divisiveness of partisan politics. Toward that end, Father has asked that we begin that process through a major event in Washington DC. Therefore The Washington Times Foundation and other co-sponsoring organizations, including the American Family Coalition, are planning a major banquet program on December 6 at the Washington Hilton Hotel. The theme of this event is "Building Our Common Legacy: Faith, Family, Freedom and Peace."

In conjunction with this major event, we will also be organizing an American Leadership Conference. While we are still working out the details, please begin considering key contacts that can be invited to this important conference, which will be held from Sunday, December 5 through the afternoon of Tuesday, December 7.
