Dear Kodiak-bound brothers and sisters‹

August 17th looks to be an exciting conference. There are a dozen leaders from Korea there already, 54 leaders are coming from Japan, 50 National Messiahs from around the world, and about 50 from the USA and Canada. I have been told that dress will be "fishing style" casual, except for the formal Holy Day events (pledge and speeches). Please prepare SONGS to sing for the entertainment‹you may get the chance.

Only Father knows the schedule plan, if even he knows, but if we follow tradition we will have holy day activities on the 17th, the leaders meeting on the 18th and then the official program will be over. Dr. Yang then will convene a North American leaders meeting for the morning and early afternoon of the 19th. Our North American members will be departing starting mid to late afternoon of the 19th.

Of course, all the above is subject to change. Our SL sister, Diane Drucker, says that Father usually likes to get everyone out fishing for a while, so while it¹s not definite you might be advised to bring wet weather gear and fishing equipment if you have it. But she said definitely please bring a sleeping bag.

ARRIVAL INFORMATION IN KODIAK

The Kodiak members will do their best to pick people up at the airport, especially the flights that have several members. If you arrive at the airport and there is no one to pick you up, you have two options:

1. Take the KATS (Kodiak Area Transportation System) bus to the Safeway. It is a $2 fare. Then call the center and someone will pick you up. (907) 486-8422. 2. Take a taxi to 545 Selief Court. The fare is around $20.
