Dear E-Cornerstone Friends;

Ten alumni gathered in Japan mid-July to launch the UTS Alumni Association of Japan. Our special guest was Rev. Ken Sudo. We had a presentation of the role of the UTS alumni by Dr. Hendricks, and a great discussion on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) facing the Seminary. I enclose two photos and the outline of the SWOT analysis.

Our illustrious Admissions Director, Mr. Tessa Hodson-Thonett, has felt the call of God to move with her family to Camaroon, on the west coast of Africa. She will work to support the wonderful developments of the Unification movement in that country, and also to help inspire young members to attend and support UTS.

At the same time, the Assistant Admissions Director, Kate Jones, and our water system manager, David Jones, will move to Camaroon with their family. These moves will take place in early September.

Coming in to the office is our new Admissions Director, Mr. Godwin d'Silva. Godwin has served as Vice-Regional Director in Los Angeles for that last 12 years. In the fall of 2001, following True Father's direction he matriculated at UTS at our Extension Center. He is so inspired with his experience, taking him to the next level of his life, that he is enthusiastically inviting others to come to UTS.

Taking the place of Mrs. Jones is our former Admissions Director, Gillian Corcoran. Mrs. Corcoran has a good grasp of the multitude of technical aspects of admissions, and is well-positioned to learn the new government regulations regarding foreign students coming to study in the US.

So our Admissions office will continue on the positive track of development given it by Mrs. Hodson-Thonett, Mrs. Jones and Mr. Chris Corcoran over the past two years.

Mr. Dennis Delaney, husband of our Registrar Ute Delaney, is inheriting Mr. Jones's position with the water system. Welcome Dennis!

Yesterday we had a truly moving memorial service for Andrew Byrne, in the Massena House. We were happy that Dr. Tom Selover and his family could attend. Tom is teaching at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.

And don't worry, Gillian--we WILL get an opening event for the Labyrinth at Barrytown accomplished someday!

Over the past three days, some 300 STF leaders and members have arrived here at Barrytown for the annual workshop for new and graduating members. In a few days we expect about 50 parents to arrive for their component of the workshop.

Then on August 24, 200 Christian Brothers will spend a day of reunion here, including Dr. Thomas McGowan, a former Christian Brother whom some of you may recall from the New ERA days.

Keeping it brief, I will end here. I hope everyone is having a great summer.
