Urgent Memorandum (NHQ 2GD - 04 – 009)

TO: Regional Directors, Vice Regional Directors, State Leaders

DATE: December 20, 2004
RE: Special Matching and Blessing of Second Generation by True Parents

A special Blessing will be conducted by True Parents on or around the Christmas holiday in New York, which may include members of the True Family. Father has invited pure Second Generation candidates from around the world to participate in a special matching this week, and join this historical Blessing event. Candidates for this matching must meet the following qualifications:

Born before December 31, 1987

Second Generation who have completed their purity interview with their Regional Director or National HQ through a Blessing Workshop [PLEASE NOTE: Couples currently matched, and those whose previous matching or Blessing was broken are not being called to this event. The next US or international Blessing is expected in the first part of next year.]

Absolute faith to accept Father’s match without question, and the commitment to never abandon or break this match. Parents must also support their child’s participation in TP’s matching, but should not push or force their children. Each blessed child should consider the requirements, and decide whether to participate or not in consultation with parents.

If candidates have not completed a Blessing Workshop, they should do so immediately (December 27-29 at UTS is the next opportunity). The purity interview and certification by parents and Regional Director is an absolute must, however, and must be completed prior to this matching. Any abuse of this policy or selfish attempt to cover a mistake will lead to tragedy and hurt others, as it has in the past.

To participate in this matching candidates must:

1) Be able to arrive in New York in time to participate in Hoon Dok Hae at East Garden on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the latest. For those in proximity to East Garden, Father may be inspired to begin matching at Hoon Dok Hae throughout this week, beginning tomorrow, December 21. Qualified candidates who can, should attend HDH. Those unable to come to New York, see note at end.

2) Fill out the attached Blessing application and interview, obtain the regional director’s and parents’ signature, Email (BC2ndGen@familyfed.org) or fax (212-768-0791) as soon as possible to the Second Generation Department; by midnight Tuesday, December 21 at the latest, and the original application should be brought with the candidate to New York. Forms may also be downloaded from http://www.bccandidates.com/procedure.html. [NOTE: forms already on file with the Blessed Family Department may possibly be used. Please contact Mrs. Hiromi Stephens of the BFD at (410) 997-6450 regarding this.]

3) Prepare two 8X10 photos, one full-length shot and one upper-body (head and shoulders) shot. We need both electronic and printed versions of these photos. They should either be taken digitally and printed, or produced as prints and then scanned. Electronic versions should be forwarded by Email to BC2ndGen@familyfed.org by midnight Tuesday, December 21 if possible. Printed photos should be brought to New York by the candidates.

4) The names of all qualified candidates should be reported by Tuesday, December 21.

For those who meet the qualifications above, but cannot be physically present in New York, you may prepare and submit photos and forms, in case the matching is expanded to include a picture matching. Of course it is not guaranteed that a suitable match can be found for all candidates, so we should prepare a heart of offering that is ready for any outcome. More details regarding qualifications, schedule and accommodations will follow as they become clear. Candidates will be required to submit a reasonable portion of the $2,000 Blessing fee as well. The minimum amount will be clarified and announced soon.

For questions or information, please contact the Second Generation Department at (212) 997-0050, ext. 123, or by Email at BC2ndGen@familyfed.org.

Sincerely,
