UPDATED, CORRECTED VERSION- FINAL (DISREGARD PREVIOUS):

Dear Regional, state and church leaders,

Final information and updates are attached and below. Please forgive the lateness of this final memo. Some information is changed, and new information is added, so read carefully. Please be aware of the following updated directions from Father:

I. ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD GO DIRECTLY TO EAST GARDEN UPON ARRIVAL IN NY

II. ONLY PURE SECOND GENERATION WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN MATCHED SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THIS MATCHING

III. ONLY THOSE MATCHED BY FATHER SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THIS BLESSING

We are urgently looking for Blessing rings for this occasion. Those who can should bring their own ring. All who can should bring a sleeping bag and transistor radio for translation, since father may ask all of us to remain at East Garden throughout the matching and Blessing. Parents are welcome to attend the Blessing and support their children, but will not be invited to the matching. See details in the memo below & attached:

MEMORANDUM & SUMMARY (NHQ 2GD - 04 - 012)

TO: Regional Directors, Vice Regional Directors, State Leaders
FROM: Dr. Chang Shik Yang, Rev. Michael Jenkins
DATE: December 22, 2004
RE: Special Second Generation Matching and Blessing FINAL

This memo summarizes the most important points to know and prepare for this week's matching and Blessing of Second Generation by our True Parents. Although it is quite late, please read the contents carefully and in detail. Some essential information is repeated, some is updated and changed, and some new information is added for the first time:

I. APPLICATION DEADLINE

The deadline for participant names has passed. Because of recent adjustments to the qualifications (see #III below), we will accept participant names until Wednesday morning. Applications must be faxed or Emailed to the Second Generation office by 9:00 AM, and originals brought to New York by the candidates, with approval from the regional director. FAX: (212) 768-0791; EMAIL: BC2ndGen@familyfed.org. Names submitted after the deadline may not be able to participate in this matching and Blessing. Download the application and interview from: http://www.bccandidates.com/procedure.html.

II. ADDITIONAL APPLICATION MATERIAL

In addition to the application and interview forms, you will find attached or may download from the application site a "family introduction form"

III. QUALIFICATIONS FOR CANDIDATES

Candidates must:

£ Be born before December 31, 1987

£ Be pure Second Generation who have completed their purity interview with their Regional Director or National HQ through a Blessing Workshop [IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION: Despite a recent memo inviting those whose previous matching or Blessing was broken by their partner, FATHER HAS SINCE MADE CLEAR: ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN MATCHED SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THIS MATCHING, AND ONLY THOSE MATCHED BY FATHER SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THIS BLESSING.]

£ Have the absolute faith to accept Father's match without question, and the commitment to never abandon or break this match. Parents must also support their child's participation in TP's matching, but should not push or force their children. Each blessed child should consider the requirements, and decide whether to participate or not in consultation with parents.

IV. DATE AND VENUE OF THE BLESSING

Based upon the matching and Father's direction, the Blessing will most probably take place on December 24th or 25th, and most probably at East Garden in Irvington, New York.

V. ARRIVALS IN NEW YORK: GO DIRECTLY TO EAST GARDEN

Participants should arrive in New York City by Wednesday, December 22nd, and proceed immediately to East Garden. There will be no orientation dinner at 4 W. 43rd Street. The simplest way to proceed from any New York airport is to take a public airport bus ($12 - $15) to Grand Central Station (at 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Manhattan), and a train on the Hudson Line to Irvington, New York (less than $5). We will have shuttle service from the Irvington train station to East Garden. We plan to register matching participants upon arrival at East Garden. If additional assistance is needed on the way, you may visit 4 W. 43rd Street, which is 2 blocks from Grand Central Station.

VI. BUS/TRAIN TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORTS

Take the New York Express Bus to Grand Central Station from the Ground Transportation area at JFK ($15) or La Guardia ($12) airports. From Newark, take the Olympia Bus ($12) to Grand Central. From there, take a train on the Hudson Line to Irvington, NY (about 30 minutes; less than $5), where a shuttle van will be transporting candidates to East Garden.

VII. PREPARE BLESSING ATTIRE

All who come to the matching should be prepared to participate in the Blessing on the 24th or 25th. Men should prepare a dark blue or black suit, white shirt and red tie, black or dark blue socks and black dress shoes, and be well-groomed for the event. Women should bring their wedding dress and dress shoes for the Blessing as well. Veils and bouquets will be provided.

VIII. REGISTRATION AND BLESSING FEE

The cost of registration, transportation to and from East Garden, meals at East Garden, the orientation dinner on the 22nd and other costs for the events is included in the Blessing Fee. Family and guests may be charged a small fee for some of these services. US candidates should pay a minimum of one half of the $2,000 Blessing fee upon registration. International candidates must pay the required amount for their nations. Any remaining amount should be paid within 120 days of the Blessing. NOTE: WITHOUT PAYMENT OF THE BLESSING FEE, CANDIDATES MAY NOT REGISTER. Credit Card payments and personal checks will be accepted. If a candidate is not matched, fees will be refunded for future use.

IX. ACCOMODATIONS

The original plan is to accommodate American participants at 4 W. 43rd Street (bring a sleeping bag!), and international participants at the New Yorker Hotel (send us a rooming list, 4 persons per room). But all candidates who have arrived until now have been directed by Father to remain at East Garden. So candidates should prepare for the possibility that all of us will remain at East Garden for the duration of the matching and Blessing.

X. BLESSING RINGS- we are urgently looking for rings for this occasion. Those who can, should bring their own ring

XI. WHAT ELSE TO BRING- A sleeping bag, transistor radio for translation

XII. PARENTS- are welcome to attend the Blessing and support their children, but will not be invited to be present at the matching.
