MEMORANDUM

To: All Regional, Vice Regional, Affiliated Organizational Leaders and all Members of FFWPU

RE: CHINA EVENT FOR WFWP

To promote friendship between all nations for the realization of peace and particularly to support the ongoing cooperation between China and the U.S. a special convocation has been organized in China for August 18th. We have received the attached MEMO from WFWP International President Dr. Lan Young Moon. America has been asked to send 120 women to China to participate in this special convocation. The basic idea of the Convocation has to do with promoting friendship for Peace through international Women of Peace. It will focus on the heart of women seeking to end the tensions of the world that lead to conflict while opening the way for the world to advance toward peace through the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

CHINA CONVOCATION:

WHAT: Convocation entitled "Goodwill Exchange for World Peace"

FOCUS: International Friendship of Women and the 2008 Beijing Olympics

WHEN: AUGUST 17th - 20th (May arrive on the 16th)

WHERE: Beijing, China

FEES: All transportation to and from Beijing must be covered by the participants. All meals and accommodations in Beijing will be covered by the Host.

WHO: 120 Women from WFWP and / or Ambassadors for Peace and / or ACLC. EMPHASIS: Ambassadors for Peace/WFWP /ACLC should be the majority of the participants. Members of FFWPU should be less than 30 %. REGISTRATION: WFWP will handle the Registration MEMO FROM WFWPI: Please review the attached memo from WFWPI for more details.

WHAT ABOUT DMN’S TOUR? Two options: Attend San Francisco (August 15) or your husband can represent your family. All ceremonies can be done with one spouse present.

ORGANIZATION: All organizations should cooperate to support this effort. WFWP President Alexa Ward is central person for this effort. WFWP Person will be appointed as the Point Person for each region. Regional Director and all Affiliated organizations should cooperate together to make the goal. Sponsorship. It is suggested that all women of FFWPU donate $100 to offset the costs of the 120.

REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE / POINT PERSON: The Regional point person to work with the Regional leadership to fulfill this effort to bring 120 women leaders will be appointed by WFWP. In most cases it will be the Regional Chairwoman for WFWP The Regional representative should receive full support and guidance from Regional Director, Vice Regional director and all affiliated organizations.
