Mrs. McDevitt read Father's speech given on Oct. 25, 1970 at former Korean headquarters.
When she read "What is our purpose? We are here not to repeat the failure of our ancestors who affirmed the reality and denied the future, but to deny the reality and affirm the future through a paradoxical way. That is the way religion has to go," Father said, "(I) made the point clearly. Say, 'Made the point clearly' ('Made the point clearly.') The life of gratitude. Sing the 'Song of Gratitude (which was sung by the Holy Lord Church [Inside the Belly Church – Ho Ho Bin founder], a spiritual Christian group in North Korea which existed around the end of the WWII),' and sing it twice. (Rev. Seuk asked if anyone knew that song.) Humans have been completely surrounded by satanic environments and so the fundamental way to take on death-or-life issue is to deny the reality even twice and win the victory the third time. This is a proverb: even if one fails at first, they can be successful the third time / continuous efforts give one success. Our ancestors knew it." Mrs. McDevitt and Rev. Yang Huh sang the song.
"This (way, which is to be thankful) is the path to find True Parents, and the path of restoration. By establishing a four-position-foundation, one can go beyond the summit in the course protected by east, west, south and north, and so it shouldn't be tilted but horizontal. A life of faith isn't delusion but should be based on the principle. We wouldn't be able to escape eternally (from satanic environments) otherwise. Today I must visit Ulleung island and come back. This is the time for my tour in which I visit the places I have never been."
"That song didn't know True Parents and so they sang waiting for the Lord. The words 'True Parents' were added in the lyrics later."
"No religion will be necessary. Rev. Moon insists to abolish religion and politics (elections)."
"What the fall means is that Adam and Eve became false parents, instead of True Parents. How can you change this world, which has a satanic tradition, blood lineage, and satanic resemblance, to the world you have never seen? True Parents are fundamentally different from you. Are you the family of Unificationism) or a member of Unificationism? Since you are called a family, you don't need religion, but in order to be family, you, receive the same tradition and blood lineage, and must resemble (True) parents."
"If the temperature goes up by 3, 5, or 7 degrees, icebergs will be melted, and surface of the sea will go up by 1 meter and 80 cm. When the world makes a mistake, the judgment will come such way, and are you confident to be able to survive?"
"You can't listen to the absolute sound of God. The greatness of Korean history is to have had King Sejong who invented the Hangul, the Korean alphabet. (Then Father explained the Korean alphabet using his face.
"When I was 17 years old, Jesus came to me calling 'Mr. Yong Myung Moon. Let's go to receive the Blessing.' I said (raising his voice) 'Who are you, bastard! You are talking about the Blessing without knowing anything. Do you know the God of Night and the God of Day, you bastard?'
He replied 'I don't care what you know, but I appear to you because the time has come. If I can't, I can't help but continue until I find (someone else).' Do you think the Principle is the words of a crazy person? Since I was one and half year old, I heard absolute sounds. After I became 12 months old, I came to see all kinds of spiritual things such as satanic spirits fighting against each other in the air. I said to myself, 'What is that?' Whenever I was fed on my mom's breast, a spiritual thing like a scarecrow and an animal appeared without fail which I could see only lower parts of the body. Then when I was one and half year old, I came to know absolute sounds."
(Katsumi: Father sounds rude to Jesus. But we need to keep in mind that Father implied before that when Jesus came to him for the first time, he was not sure if it was Jesus since he had seen so many spiritual beings.)
"All ancestors came to see me, the small-eyed boy of Osan family. One day, a person only whose legs can be seen came to me. His upper body couldn't be seen and he walked to my house saying 'I came to see the small-eyed boy of Osan family.' My grandfather couldn't see him and only I knew he was there. If I add (such spiritual contents) there would be hundreds of the principle book. I know the spirit world more than anybody else and one must understand it clearly. I saw with my eyes that there is heaven and hell."
"This speech doesn't include such (spiritual) things, and you will see if things happen as the speech tells. These (words in the speech) are not my words. Do you know ___? What is the meaning? In order to become a citizen, one must understand God's whisper to his creatures when he created the cosmos. Do you know what I mean? (Silence)
When I was 7 years old, (some spiritual being came to greet Father) and I said 'Why you, not a human and handicapped, came to me?' He said 'That's why I came here to see you. Even it takes thousands of years, you must cure this disease and you must become famous. I came here to have a friendship with you.' I said, 'You bastard, what is this friendship? Friendship is necessary when humans meet with each other.' You are sitting here without knowing anything about such a reality in the spirit world."
