We recently held the second UPKMF convention, just two years after the convention in 2005. I feel a lot of development was made in the convention this time. True Parents invited the veterans from 16 nations to Cheon Jeong Gung. He spoke to them for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Earlier during the welcoming banquet, Hyun-jin nim and Dr. Cheol Seung Lee, as the hosts of this convention, welcomed the participants. Both proudly testified about True Parents before the veterans. The next day the veterans visited the 25th division.
We had a lot of coverage from the media this time from KBS and Arirang TV.
One gentleman and his sister from France came to our convention this time. Their Father had died during the Korean War. They grew up very perplexed as to why their Father had to die in that war. They even confessed that they felt hatred toward Korea for the loss of their father.
Yet, after coming to Korea and seeing how the country had developed they realized that their father's death was not in vain and came to understand that his sacrifice meant something.
