The Words of Sun Myung Moon from 1973 |
We call each member of the Unification Church a "family member." I ask you this question. Have you ever truly loved the members as your own older brothers or sisters or your own younger brothers or sisters? Are your relationships worthy of God personally visiting you, because He sees your loving relationships and says, "No matter how wonderful and vast the Garden of Eden or this world of creation is, I would rather come to see you living together and loving each other truly as brothers and sisters and family members." God would not only memorialize your relationships being so special, but promote them to the world, saying, "Where do people live as true brothers and sisters beside here? I beg you to visit them. And I want to go to them and live with them." The bonds of love among you should be so strong that God has to visit you. Do you have such strong bonds among you? This is the question.
Then, what does the word mean in, Chapter 5, Verse 48 of the Gospel according to Matthew that says "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect?" This word, perfect, is not just a word. What is this person like whom God wants to meet? This is a person who receives love as a true son. Then, he receives love from older brothers and as an older brother receives love from younger siblings. Moreover, he will receive love from his spouse completely at the highest ideal position where God delights to observe. On top of all these, God desires this person to become a true father who loves his sons and daughters, a true uncle, a true grandfather, and a true king in the atmosphere of God's love.
Think about this. If you are looked at from this standpoint of God, how far are you from His desire? You know clearly where you stand without me saying to you. It is with this goal in mind that the Scriptures say, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."
Then why does God say the peacemakers are Children of God? That is, in order to establish peace, you must take responsibility for more than just being a master. In order to reconcile complicated relationships among ten people, you must carry the cross greater than that of 10 people. That is logical, isn't it? Why is it that you must place yourself where you carry their respective crosses? By doing so, the reconciliation may begin. As you walk this path, you will be born as God's child.
Rev. Moon, who speaks about these things, is not the one who goes the habitual and comfortable path. He has been dashing forward ahead of everyone in order to actualize what the Principle presents. I made a clear public declaration, saying, "If God does not love Rev. Moon, such a God does not exist!" With this confidence, I have been walking this path. I have pioneered this path for humanity.
In order for you to be loved, what rational process do you need to go through? If you beg of God in front of Him to love you, and you receive His love, the love you receive is not real love. You must pursue the path where you are placed in the position that God must absolutely give you His love, despite that you do not ask to receive His love. If you wish to receive His love, and to become someone important with His help, you will not succeed. This is absolutely no way to live.
Jesus said, "Whoever wants to save his life will die, and whoever gives up his life for my sake will live." It does not work out for the people who want to be welcome and treated well. Yet, those who want to welcome and treat others well will be welcome and treated well.
