The Words of the Blanchard Family

Out Leader

Henri Blanchard
October 31 -- November 2, 1970
Second European Conference
Essen, West Germany

I'll speak very shortly about our Leader. He has three times the amount of normal will. He sleeps three hours a night and often sleeps at the factory. During meal times the Leader likes to talk with other leaders.

What struck me was his simplicity. I only saw him twice wearing a tie. He likes the terrain surrounding the factory, this is his kingdom, his land. During the twenty one days we did not see his ordinary life because he was concentrated on the Japanese and western families.

I felt like a child and I wanted to see my Father play pong etc. I saw many things into the life of the leader and Mrs. [Won Bok] Choi are thinking in terms of millions of dollars. He loves to talk about projects that other people consider impossible.

We all went him on a picnic -- he owns a large lake [Chung Pyung] -- a reservoir which reminded me of America -- a great expense of beautiful country.

We saw our Leader looking very free and at ease, asking us to go along with his mission.
