This True God's Day 1997 and I wish you all a great and wonderful year. I am sure you all missed True Parents very much. I attended the 30th God's Day celebration in San Paolo, Brazil this year. San Paolo, Brazil received some special blessing this year because Parents celebrated the 30th celebration of True God's Day there.

Let me tell you the reasons why True Parents celebrated True God's Day in South America.

Last year Father and Mother claimed a big victory in South America, so many national leaders welcomed True Parents. Also former presidents and prime ministers attended the Divine Principle workshop in Uruguay. Also Christian Minister leadership, sports leadership etc. all attended the Divine Principle workshop in Uruguay. True Parents have purchased a lot of land in various nations of South America. Father's goal is to make a model culture. The third blessing is the dominion of all things. Father is truly guiding us in having true dominion over life.

In today's western culture when we speak of having dominion it usually means over-development and destruction of the planet earth. This planet is now sick and struggling because of humankind's over development and pollution. Therefore Father is demonstrating how to truly dominate the creation with love. How to turn the wilderness into a beautiful garden. Father stayed at the New Hope Farm down there and endured various kinds of discomfort such as mosquitoes. But Father's life is truly harmonized with nature. Nearby the New Hope Farm is a huge lake and swamp with over 3500 various species of fish. Father wants to make a huge natural fishing farm. Then combine the fish powder-"flour" from the sea-with grains-flour from the land-to make a high protein food in order to serve the starving people of the world.

Please do understand that True Parents are today in the wilderness. Father always is challenging the harder course. Our physical bodies are comprised of the earth and some day our bodies will go back again to the nature. Father is constantly having give and take with the nature in this life in loving harmony. Father is managing in true dominion and is establishing this lifestyle now in South America. Some day will call us all to the New Hope Farm in South America. There we will learn how to farm and fish and care for the creation. Father has also developed schools and hospitals down in South America now. In just one year in South America Father has fulfilled the dispensation of twenty five years in North America.

Last year Father sent out national messiahs to 185 countries. Father invited these national messiahs to attend this year's God's Day with him. There he explained and showed his foundation to them. He wants to spread this 25 years of North American victory which he fulfilled in just one year in South America. He wants to spread this victory horizontally to the 185 countries. From December 30, 1996 - January 2, 1997 Father conducted this conference for brothers and sisters. He is quite amazing. Explaining and pouring out his love non-stop practically five days straight.

Did you all hear the motto of this year? Let Us Be Proud of True Parents and Love True Parents by Accomplishing the 3.6 Million Blessing. If there are 3.6 million couples that means there will be 7.2 million individuals will be in attendance on November 29, 1997. Last year we always spoke of next year, but there is no more next year. We are now in 1997 and this year we have to fulfill the 3.6 million blessing.

What is the meaning of the blessing? Blessing means coming from God through the True Parents. The source of blessing is God. There are many words in various languages that denote blessing-in Hebrew, ashar, barak; in Greek, makarious, eulogeo . In Korean Father uses chook bok but we need to understand the meaning of this word.

In Genesis 1:28 it speaks of three great blessings. Matthew 5:3-12 is a very famous sermon on the mount which begins with nine blessings, nine beatitudes. Also Jesus predicted through his disciple John in Revelations 22:13-17 the Second Coming that also speaks of blessing. The Bible begins with blessing and ends with blessing. Why is blessing important?

After God created humankind He gave them the three blessings. This did not work out and so the Messiah, Jesus Christ, came and declared his purpose and mission as the fulfillment of the blessing. However, he was unable to fulfill the accomplishment of this blessing. If he comes again, the Second Coming, he will also come to give blessing.

So what is the meaning of the Korean chook bok? The Korean chook means benediction, while bok is a complex Chinese character that expresses the harmony of God, Man and Nature centered on the Will of God-True Love.

This entire cosmos is divided into heaven, earth and humankind. For the purpose of true love, God created heaven, earth and humankind as the objects of His love. Centered upon true love, heaven, earth and humankind harmonized into oneness is equivalent to blessing. But, before mankind received the blessing, came the Fall and we inherited Satan's false love instead. This false love has been passed down the generations through the blood lineage.

Before we can receive the Blessing of Marriage we need:

1. to accept True parents.

2. attend the Holy Wine ceremony and experience rebirth so as to switch our lineage from the false to the true.

3. pass through the gate of the Blessing Ceremony officiated by True Parents to become a Blessed Couple.

4. establish a new culture by expressing True Love in the world; the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in Heaven.

In Leviticus 17:11, God told Moses that human life is contained in the blood. Our life expresses energy. If we have a car we need to give it gasoline. How many types are available? Why do you think people pay more money to fill their cars with super gasoline? There are two benefits: the engine runs more smoothly and there is no pollution. Likewise our blood lineage belonged to the satanic false blood lineage. Therefore satanic life energy emerges from us. This means we need to change our blood lineage. Before receiving the blessing we went through the holy wine ceremony. Through this ceremony we were born again into God's pure lineage and then we received the blessing. This blessing is centered on God's true love, life and lineage. From this couple, a family can be built and spread out to all creation, heaven and earth. This is what mankind is seeking.

Blessing then means that we change the satanic false lineage and receive the blessing of the true lineage through True Parents. Without parents we cannot inherit blood lineage. Therefore we need True Parents in order to receive God's heavenly pure lineage. Then we express God's life and then practice God's love. This is blessing. Due to the Fall life in this world is filled with satanic life and satanic dominion. We have no relationship with God and true love which means we cannot connect with the purpose of creation.

So what is the significance of the upcoming 3.6 million couples Blessing?

In 1960 Father began the dispensation of blessing. In 1960 the True Parents appeared and Father blessed three couples. Reverend and Mrs. Won Pil Kim, President and Mrs. Eu, and President and Mrs. Kim. This was the first public official blessing. Thirty six couples were next, then seventy two, 124, 430, 777, 1800 and right up through the 360,000 couples blessing which was the eleventh Blessing. The 3.6 million will be the twelfth.

In 1992 Father gave blessing to 30,000 couples. That was a very unusual blessing. At the time of that blessing Father completely opened the door to all people. Not only Unificationists were included in blessing from this time on. This was the beginning of the era of True Parentship-the formation stage Blessing. In 1994, the 360,000 couples Blessing was the growth stage. This year Father will give open blessing to 3.6 million couples-the perfection stage.

Father has said that the 360, like the 360 degrees in a circle, symbolizes all the world turning to God centered on True Parents. Also, this time is God's last dispensation for establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Centered on Heung Jin Nim, the spirit world will also have a Blessing of 3.6 million couples-this upcoming Blessing has that kind of cosmic and historical value.

Washington DC will be the central blessing location, but 185 countries throughout the world will participate in this blessing. This will be unique in all history.

Why has Father chosen America in order to give this Blessing? Because America is the center of the world. Not in the political and economic power sense, but in the sense of being Abel and Bride-of-Christ.

North America is Protestant-founded while South America is Catholic- founded so the North is in the Abel position, while the South is in the Cain position.

Over 200 years ago the Pilgrim Fathers established America in the name of God and Jesus Christ. America is completely unique in this regard. North and South America are both Christian countries. The reason the Father considers North America as Abel is because this country was established on Protestantism which is the younger position. But more important than this, is the internal attitude and direction of the founding of these two nations. In South America the Europeans went there in search of gold and solely to make money.

However, in the New England area of North America the Puritans came for the purpose of establishing a new world with freedom of religious practice. After arriving, even under very harsh conditions, they established churches before they established their own housing. Secondly they made Christian schools and then they built their houses. In order to do so they really suffered. This is the official beginning of North America. The North had an Abel foundation; the South a Cain foundation.

Christianity is the bride religion as you know. In the Bible, the bride-faithful Christians-are awaiting the bridegroom-the Second Coming. The Puritan disciples of Jesus Christ established this North America which is why America is in the position of bride nation. The role of the bride is to welcome the bridegroom and become engaged, working and living together establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. However, America rejected True Father and Mother. Father invested so much sacrifice and commitment for the sake of this country even though this country failed to appreciate him. The reason Father invested and never gave up is because God and Jesus Christ established this nation. True Father is the bridegroom. Even though the bride fails to recognize him, still the bridegroom continues to propose to her until she finally consents. Father does not give up!

Here in America we have religious freedom. Any type of religion can be established here. America is a melting pot of not only races but also religions. This is a very special country. Therefore Father wants to bring the victory of 1997, the dispensation of the perfection of blessing, here. Father spent over twenty five years here in America wooing this bride country. In 1995 Father began the Japanese-American women sisterhood ceremonies. We brothers have some envy towards sisters because we do not have any brotherhood ceremony. But, who created the situation of World War II, men or women? (Men) That is correct. Therefore it would seem logical that it is the responsibility of men to make peace between Japanese and American. However, Father used women for this ceremony. Men were in the position to serve as drivers, stage crews etc. while the women were on the stage and the media extolled them. It wasn't easy was it, brothers? Why did Father do it this way? Because America is the bride nation and Father needs American women. This means that women are standing in the position of Eve and men are standing in the position of archangel.

Father prepared 20,000 women to participate in this ceremony. You cannot imagine the budget to make this program successful. Through this program Father wooed this bride-nation's leadership. Through this program they connected with True Parents.

This is the foundation of the bride-nation of America. 20,000 brides are now connected with True Father. Another important bride is the dispensation of 4,500 Christian ministers who have been educated by True Father. This year we will continue with 20,000 Christian ministers. The 20,000 women and 20,000 Christian ministers are the bride.

Last year after God's Day, Dr. Hendricks and Dr. Wilson began teaching True Family Values to our membership. This material was so inspiring to our brothers and sisters. Last Sunday on January 5 from 9 a.m. - 9.30 p.m. you all received the workshop. Reverend Chang Sung Ahn told me that he was surprised to see the enthusiasm for studying the True Family Values by our New York brothers and sisters. He told me that he spoke with three brothers who had previously been somewhat negative towards church life. He told me that they were completely changed.

This True Family Values teaching material is very mysterious. Now in America True Parents and True Family have become popular words. If someone doesn't know True Parents and true family they are not American. Elder Guchi in Chicago brought 300 ministers to the seminar in DC. These ministers are now teaching this True Family Values material in their own churches. Also they are recommending their minister friends to our workshop. Also last year in seventeen cities we held True Family Festival which is pre-blessing ceremony. Thirty ministers received the blessing through these ceremonies. In Charlotte, North Carolina five ministers came to our church and received the blessing. Now even religious ministers receive the blessing.

On December 28, 1996 in Washington DC one Muslim minister attended this pre-blessing ceremony. Our staff mentioned to him that in order to receive the blessing he needs to bring his wife with him. He apologized for not bringing his wife but told our staff that he didn't want to miss the blessing. Then our staff asked for his wife's picture. But he did not have it. Then on a paper he wrote down a clear description of his wife and with this paper he received the blessing. Then we were wondering what would happen if his wife was upset and did not agree. But he told us that a Muslim wife is always object to her husband.

Our regional directors, state leaders and city leaders officiate at these pre-blessing ceremonies throughout the country. Prior to last year many Christian ministers also received the blessing. Now these ministers also have become officiators. We educated 20,000 ministers and we will give the blessing to these ministers and their wives. Then these ministers go back to their own churches and give the blessing with our members. This is the strategy.

Five-stage strategy

We have a five-stage strategy: 1. True Family Values education of ministers.

2. Education of Unificationists to become True Family Values presenters.

3. Teaching True Family Values in churches.

4. Give pre-blessing.

5. Bring to the main blessing in Washington DC

Some ministers have reached to the fourth stage already because they themselves have received the blessing.

Everyone of you can do that. Ask your church leaders. If one couple is a little bit shy then two couples can go together. Before attending service you can assist the minister of that church. This is the practice of true love and service. Only in America do we find this kind of foundation. America is truly a blessed nation. Witnessing in America is not easy because this nation is the center of the world. The people are very highly educated and proud. But if they really find the true values they will follow. The openness in America makes it possible for them to accept True Family Values more easily than other nations.

Last year we had the presidential election here in America. The two candidates both promised the establishment of family values. President Clinton received seventeen per cent more vote from women than Mr. Dole because he promised family values. But does President Clinton practice family values? I don't know. Does he know what family values are? I don't know. We have to take care of the moral and spiritual life of America.

This year 3.6 million couple blessing is our destiny. We have to succeed in this. Please ask your church leader for your congregation and go every Sunday to serve, fellowship and then teach them. Give pre-blessing to all the church members. Please believe and we will go forward together. This year is a very important year, it is the year of the great blessing.

Yesterday I received one telephone call from Denver, Colorado that one minister who had given the congratulatory remarks at last year's event, this year received the blessing himself. He was so inspired and was in tears, and before giving his congratulatory speech, our member gave him a white holy robe. He so much appreciated this and was so proud. One of our members there became spiritually open at the pre-blessing time and he saw amazing powerful sunlight coming to this blessing area and a door opened to reveal Jesus in golden robes. He deeply realized how God and True Parents desire to meet Christian ministers and give them blessing because they stand in the position of the bride. For 2000 years God prepared this bride. How much the bridegroom missed the bride. Now the spiritual world really helped us.

At an Indian reservation in Wisconsin a white buffalo was born. This happens very infrequently. In the Indian tradition the coming of the white buffalo indicates the coming of the Messiah. Then suddenly in South Dakota on a Sioux tribe reservation two were born. I thought that the white buffalo in Wisconsin is symbolic of Jesus Christ and the two born in South Dakota are symbolic of True Parents. Now Jesus and True Parents are working on this earth. The largest Indian reservation is in South Dakota. Here the 60,000 members of the Sioux tribe live. The chief couple of this tribe received pre-blessing last month. They went to Los Angeles to receive this pre-blessing.

The African nations are bringing great victories for the upcoming blessing-in fact, they are determined to bring 3.6 million all by themselves. In Taiwan the government has a committee for pre-blessing. Satan always tells us such things impossible-but they are clearly not!. If you give up then there will be no result. Satan always tries to divert us from our goal. Please listen to the voice of God. God tells us that 3.6 million blessing is not impossible.

Dr. Hendricks, Dr. Shimmyo and many other of the church leadership are now on their way to attend the forty day workshop in Korea which is being conducted by Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mon Nim. This is our great privilege to be able to participate in such an event.

This forty day workshop is not only for our church leadership. Father has requested that all blessed couples go if possible. It is surely so meaningful that and Jesus and Mary, Buddha, Confucius and Mohammed came down to the forty day workshop in Korea. I told Dr. Hendricks that he is the same alumni as Jesus Christ, Mary and Buddha's workshop. Isn't this wonderful? Someday when we arrive at the spiritual world we can tell Buddha that we were the same alumni of forty day workshop. The lifestyle of Unificationists if very unusual and very special. We have to understand that we are now living on earth but vertically and horizontally the spiritual world and physical world become one in harmony.

In the absence of the leadership while at Chung Pyung Lake, each of you must take responsibility to maintain the spiritual atmosphere. This is very important. Everyone of you hold the responsibility of their church district now that your leadership is attending the forty days in Korea. Through this forty days workshop in Korea all our evil ancestors can be liberated and educated by Heung Jin Nim and on November 29 these evil spirits will receive the blessing. These leaders will inherit a new heavenly fortune and bring this fortune here to America and shake this nation.

This is America's blessing. It is not a burden. Therefore each one of you maintain the same heart as if True Parents were physically with us. Because even when True Parents are not here physically, their heart and spirit is always dwelling here.
