This is excerpt from a testimony given at the Leaders Conference held May 1, 1996 at East Garden, Irvington, NY.

For me the year of 1996 is a very special, grace-full year. It began the era of kingship, so in my physical life on earth with True Parents we entered together this era. When I heard that I was selected to receive a 33 year award from True Parents for having followed and participated in the spiritual mission, I felt very unworthy. Who are True Parents? In human history they are the Kings of Kings. We were supposed to receive this award only after we really prepared the nation of True Parents and giving and serving True Parent's throne for them.

Today Father said at Belvedere that he does not have an official throne, but Father already started the era of kingship. He needs some recognized membership in front of God and the world. He needs a nation of fruits. So, a humble person such as myself was chosen. After I received the award, one side of me felt so honored and glorious and grateful. But on the other hand, I felt very miserable. I personally felt a lot of struggle and asked myself how I should start the second 33 years of my spiritual life and how I could make a new beginning. I myself wanted to go to a mountain for a special prayer in order to make a special determination and plan; but then suddenly in South America during his birthday celebration

Father organized this special workshop at Chung Pyung Lake. Among those called to participate in the workshop were 24 church couples, there were twenty Korean and four Japanese couples and then 30 couples from businesses. Altogether, there were 54 couples under Heung Jin Nim and Great Mother's (Daemo-nim) leadership to receive a workshop. In Korea there is a special understanding of Great Mother's special mission and victory in Chung Pyung Lake, but in America we still have very little information. That is why I want to share with you about this very important event in the providence.

In order to understand what is happening now at Chung Pyung Lake and what Daemo-nim is doing according to the Divine Principle and also how we can receive the special grace, love from God and True Parents at this time.

Father's ministry is over 50 years now, but before the year 2000 he needs to achieve two important victorious results.

First. Father's followers, his disciples, his spiritual children, Father's direct children had to achieve the realm of perfection, the realm of direct dominion. In front of God and Satan, he has to show his fruit, the result of his ministry, the result of 6,000 of history, of God's original purpose of Creation. Adam and Eve's original heart, original intellect, original will are there in these people they are the model to be followed. They have to be able to show their original nature. True Parents are the absolute model, but that is not enough, they need to expand.

Second, True Parents need a nation. True Parents' position is very serious right now; they have to choose and prepare the entire unification community, all the blessed couples around the world. This is God and True Parents serious work on earth. We need to respond to them also. Therefore, Father selected 54 couples who dedicated 33 and 21 years of world mission. We are completely unworthy people, but just following True Parents, this was the most important condition. Believing, following. serving and participating. However, for us it is impossible to stand in front of God and True Parents. Heavenly Father was very disappointed because He knows that all the blessed couples from the first, second and third generation have not done enough. Satan has accusation for us. Our workshop room was very small. Sometimes we had 1,600 people and it was difficult to sleep and to take even a shower.

True Father suggested that the theme of the 40 days workshop be "memory and repentance." That was wonderful because during these 33 years our Father and Mother did pioneer work, even in Korea, as well as throughout the world in 160 nations. In this most historical crusade, we were unknown soldiers, working from corner to corner; but we needed to look back and evaluate: what was good, what was bad, what was honorable, what was miserable, when we did not serve, when we did not believe, when our commitment was bad, and at the many times we were not united with Father's leadership. Many things we had to remember and repent for. For me it was a liberation. I was a very lucky person, because I received grace and forgiveness and became a new person. Also I experienced the beginning of hell, because we had to look back and repent. We thought that we were completely liberated by Father with the blessing. But because we were not completely united with Father's heart, direction and mission, evil spirits were attacking us.

For instance, in our workshop place, we were 100 members, completely packed, sleeping there and also we had the lectures there. There were many evil spirits hiding there. Do you know why those evil spirits were hiding there? They said, "all of you received True Parents award, but your qualification is low; you are not worthy of it." All these evil spirits were laughing, judging us and giving us bad attack; saying, "look at these people, they received True Parents award, but no, they are not worthy." They were all accusing us. Satan accuses us, not our good ancestors, so the best way was to look back, our individualism, our personal ego, our personal old habits, my satanic philosophy, misjudging the Divine Principle and Father's words, Father's directions, always choosing my way, always misguiding our members and many things delayed Father's victory on earth. We did not become Father's assistants, not staff, we became Father's burden. So we weakened our physical body and spiritual self. I had to check myself, my past 35 years of pioneer life. Everyday after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner we did three hours of holy songs singing and repentance. All the heavy pressure moved out. The leadership of Heung Jin Nim and Great Grandma is amazing. They practiced true love, mercy and a lot of sensitivity. Great Mother is our grandmother. Usually our physical father and mother wanted to correct us and chased us, do you remember? We always ran away hiding behind grandfather and grandmother, right? So in front of God and True Parents, officially, they cannot forgive us, but this grandmother's heart is that no matter what she wants to forgive us and all our mistakes, misuse of love and public funds and mistreatment of brothers and sisters, all bad mistakes grandmother took and begged Father and God; "this person did this kind of mistakes, "Heavenly Father, Father, please remember, because at that time, he had this misunderstanding, this limitation, this situation, that is why he made such mistake, please forgive him, please forgive her". This kind of prayer and treatment is what helped us to clean ourselves. Who is Heung Jin Nim? He is Father's representative in the spiritual world. Who is Grandmother Hong? She is the representative of True Mother. Heung Jin Nim sacrificed so much on earth and has become a tremendous blessing for True Parents and God. God prepared a beautiful palace, a beautiful garden in heaven, an amazing, fantastic place where they can relax and enjoy themselves, but they came down to this physical world. Some day you will go to Chung Pyung Lake in Korea and will see Heung Jin Nim's room and Great Mother's room; they are more humble than your own apartment. So if I go to their prayer room, I feel so miserable. The King of Kings in the spiritual world, Heung Jin Nim, the Queen of Queens, Grandma, they came down to Chung Pyung to this most humble prayer room to dwell there. They do not rest; they work hard 24 hours a day asking God and True Parents to forgive our blessed couples, and our sons and daughters of the second generation. They also work hard in moving out our evil spirits and healing our physical bodies and in comforting our internal heart and healing us. Can you believe this? So, compared with Heung Jin Nim and Great Mother our pioneer life and mission life, we are lazy. We are really insincere. We are not hard working people; we always have excuses and different ways. We always mistreat Father's direction. So every time we went there, we repented to reduce and clean out our internal, evil fallen nature, our egos, our ancestors bad habits, and our wild olive tree habits. I could feel it.

We woke up at 6:00 a.m. We went to the different holy grounds, the Holy Ground of Love, Holy Ground of Heart, Holy Ground of All Things, to the Water of Life, the Holy Ground of Royalty, and the Holy Ground of Blessing. That was a very joyful mountain climbing. In the evening we had midnight prayer with the unification candle; during this time I shed a lot of tears; I felt my internal sins being cleansed and forgiven.

Furthermore, we are always misunderstanding True Family, the root of our heart and eternal life. We know this, but our belief is very dull. We then realized True Family's difficulties are because our blessed families, especially the elder ones, did not form an external wall of protection for True Family. We commit a lot of mistakes in front of Satan, so he easily invades True Family. Usually we concern ourselves with "my children first," and "my children's rights" and last we are concerned about True Grandchildren. So, we prayed and repented a lot. We could see each other changing every day. Every day we read Divine Principle, altogether we read it eight times.

Through this kind of repentance, we realized deeply the meaning of Divine Principle. Actually, Divine Principle teaches us clearly how Satan and evil spirits work with us. Father taught us, but we did not realize it. Satan always worked through the evil spirits, the evil spirits worked through our evil minds and these evil minds control our physical bodies. That is why our physical lives were controlled by Satan. We are blessed members and have the stamp of True Parents, but we came to the realization that Satan controlled the lives of many couples, of our church leaders and our family life.

When we receive the blessing, it is conditional because we were supposed to remove our fallen nature before the blessing and have the same nature as Adam and Eve had before the fall. Father cannot do this type of mission, it is John the Baptist's. John the Baptist's most important mission is to remove our fallen nature. You know what the meaning of fallen nature is ; we inherited it from the Archangel. Because we have fallen nature, Satan and evil spirits invade us. The John the Baptist figure is supposed to clean us and then bring us in front of True Parents. Then we are supposed to receive the blessing.

We learned a lot of new things through studying Divine Principle every day. Father did not have a John the Baptist, so he could not clean our fallen nature. His mission is to give us the blessing. Due to this fallen nature we are not the temples of God, we have been the temples of Satan. Therefore, we have to clean ourselves up. All our blessed couples did not know this. Daemo-nim did not know either so she asked God in prayer; why are our blessed couples sometimes worse than outside people? God answered her prayer and opened her spiritual eyes to see that our blessed couples were covered and invaded by evil spirits. Thus, all evil spirits saw light upon our blessed couples. The blessed couples seemed very bright, so they came to us. Thus, because we are always struggling, complaining, etc. we make a base for an evil spirit; behind the evil spirit is Satan, therefore, he is directly controlling our mind and our mind is controlling our body.

They are like insects within us.

As long as Satan is inside us, we cannot move on, so we need special help from outside. Evil spirits are like germs in the air; we are breathing them although we cannot see them. If our body is weak, we can get sick. In the same way, if we do not obey God and True Parents, if we lose faith, we can be invaded by evil spirits. Even our second generation has been invaded, our sinless children are being invaded.

In Chung Pyung Lake I saw a video about Daemo-nim's Seung Hwa ceremony; Father visited and prayed very deeply at that time. I did not realize the importance of his prayer. I thought it is just because she was Mother's mother that Father attended such ceremony and gave her such attention. However, now I could hear Father's prayer again and understood that he clearly gave her a mission. He told Daemo-nim, "You go to spiritual world and become a mediator between God and humankind. Bring them all back to God." I understood then that Father had already prepared this 10 years ago when she went to spirit world. Since Father ordered this, spirit world has to obey and it is happening now.

Daemo-nim even asked God to take her to spirit world early and to give her special power in spirit world in order to do this type of work. She went three years earlier than she was supposed to go.

Mrs. Hyo Nam Kim was chosen by Daemo-nim to do this type of work; she is a humble country lady, a very extraordinary sister. She was very spiritual as a child. She was a Christian, very faithful, dedicated and spiritually open. Ten years ago, True Mother visited her in a dream and gave her a special telescope telling her that some day she would be working with Daemo-nim. She never thought of herself doing such work, so she rejected the dream. She could not believe that it was True Mother who appeared to her. One brother had a similar dream in which True Mother gave him the telescope because Mrs. Kim did not want to accept it; this brother said that he would keep it until Mrs. Kim was ready to receive it. After three years Mrs. Kim became convinced that this came from Mother and believed it; only then did she begin to work. Sometimes she was given punishment for not following, so she repented and was trained in this way. In 1992 Mrs. Kim started to work in Korea. At that time no one believed her. She started to help couple by couple and people began to recognize her. Mrs. Kim founded the holy grounds including the water of life fountain, and finally the leadership reported to Father in 1994. In 1995 Father gave Mrs. Kim the authority to be Daemo-nim's mediator.

So, what can we do with these evil spirits all around us? Because we are blessed couples we have many more than other people. Because we made a lot of mistakes, a lot of evil spirits came. We cannot be healed by ourselves; we need Daemo-nim's help. In the Resurrection chapter of the Divine Principle it says that even evil spirits need resurrection.

All people need resurrection through the second coming and the power of True Parents. Also you and I need to pay indemnity; that is why Father called the 33 years award participants to this workshop to pay indemnity.

Therefore, by going to Korea we paid indemnity, and our Father and God's representative, Heung Jin Nim and Daemo-nim helped resurrect our evil spirits. We were in a very humble situation. Outside it was very cold and we could not sleep. At the beginning Daemo-nim told us that we needed to stay 120 days, but Father gave us special grace and reduced the indemnity to only 40 days. There was no guarantee that even in 40 days all the evil spirits would move out. That is why Father at the end asked us to do a seven day fast.

We shed a lot of tears, tears of liberation, and a lot of sweat; we did a lot of clapping during the singing, I felt resurrection for these 33 years. In our daily prayer at each holy ground we repented; through this repentance we paid indemnity and step by step all these evil spirits moved out. During our singing and clapping Daemo-nim was always with us.

Great Mother is teaching us forgiveness;. Even among the 36 blessed couples there was a lot of resentment because they have been living together for 40 years. They had hurt each other a lot. We really forgave each other and hugged and cried in front of God and True Parents. This was an amazing experience! Through this, many evil spirits moved out.

Two times every week we had a lot of people at the workshop; sometimes 1,000 or 1,600 Japanese and Korean members came for three days workshop. You cannot imagine what it was like to heal and take out evil spirits from this amount of people. Daemo-nim and Heung Jin Nim conducted this workshop very seriously; I understood how hard they were working. They stayed there day and night, healing, teaching and taking out evil spirits from the members. In our physical life, how much are we serving God and True Parents? This was a deep realization and shock for me; I deeply repented because of this.

Other spiritualists did many ancestors' liberations before; but why these did not work; why were there many limitations? Because we made mistakes again and again, these ancestors came back. Heung Jin Nim created a special Divine Principle training center in the spirit world for these evil spirits; they must attend 100 days workshop and they cannot come back to the physical world until they are blessed by Heung Jin Nim. Since we are blessed couples we have millions of spirits, and because True Parents, Daemo-nim and Heung Jin Nim, and we ourselves are paying indemnity, these millions of spirits are turning around and becoming good spirits. They can be resurrected and next year they can receive the blessing. There will be a blessing in Washington in 1997 and after that there will be a blessing in the spiritual world. All these spirits can not come back unless they are completely reformed and blessed. This is a special grace because of Heung Jin Nim this is direct resurrection in the spiritual world.

As we shed tears of repentance, we can have more and more liberation; then tears of joy come. We can see every day there is more and more spiritual phenomena. During our workshops several people got possessed, got crazy, physically sick; some of them were jumping and dancing. Some people got crazy in front of Daemo-nim and when she touched them, they got quiet. There was a lot of physical healing. Also couples who were divorcing, got reconciled and started family life, etc.

Since Daemo-nim started her spiritual work Father announced that from now on, there should not be any more spiritualists around the world. All spiritualists should go to Chung Pyung to see Daemo-nim to receive special advice and judgment from her; judgment means to discern what kind of spirits they are channeling. Sometimes they say that they are channeling Heung Jin Nim, other times is Jesus, etc. But many times it is not true. For instance, one Japanese sister blessed to a Korean brother began to channel for Heung Jin Nim. Many people went to them for healing, for reading, blessing, etc. However, Daemo-nim called this sister and asked the spirit who he was; he answered that it was Heung Jin Nim. Daemo-nim said, "you are a liar, Heung Jin Nim is now here next to me. Who are you? Then the spirit answered, "I am Satan." She said, get out from there and do not come back." There are many spiritualists around the world who are channeling. Yesterday, I sent a letter around America so that all these spiritualists would go to Korea, get cleansed and direction from Daemo-nim. From now on, please, you be careful this is Father's official direction with all these types of mediums. Even some of them give you special medicine to cure you, please ask them to go to Korea. The most important teaching about this phenomena is "true love", how to love and raise brothers and sisters with true love; many of us expected to inherit many things like spiritual power, healing, etc., but Daemo-nim said that it was not important. Only if you practice true love will evil spirits go away. Divine Principle says that evil spirits only work with evil mind. Therefore if you clean your mind and practice true love, all things will be solved.

Greatmother gave everybody good angels. These angels were healing us, so everyone had good experiences and at the end they promised to go and do Tribal Messiah, they made a list, praying with the Unification Candle, every night from midnight to 3:00 am because that is when good spirits come. They prayed one hour, 30 minutes, sometimes two hours, etc. With this prayer the angels go to witness to our relatives. There are many results coming.

Father gave a goal to all the participants to understand the spiritual world and to inherit the spiritual healing power or to open our spiritual eyes. We got very worried because when we open our spiritual eyes and see other people's sins and secrets, then no one would follow us in our new mission.

How could we inherit that healing power, when will it begin? Great Mother told us. "You expect to open your spiritual eyes or inherit some sort of healing power, but that is not so important. You inherited Father's true love." "Please you dedicate to others, sacrifice for others, get our of your selfishness, serve God and True Parents." Then this power of true love is better than anything else. At the time of Jesus 2,000 years ago he did many miracles and many healings. However, did these people follow Jesus, or did they escape at the most difficult time? They all escaped. On other hand, if they experience the love of Jesus Christ, they repented, came back and received the crucifixion or were martyred. The power of true love is more important. That's Great mother's teaching. One more important thing is. If you go there and practice true love, someone receives your true love at that time all the evil spirits from members move out. That's the power of healing.

Today, during Father's speech at Belvedere, he spoke for seven hours about the power of true love, about the special function of true love. If we practice true love, everything will be available to us; so you can see Greatmother is teaching the same as Father's teaching, but she made it easier for us to understand it. When Father taught us directly, we did not understand, we can realize how slow and unfaithful people we are. Last night Rev. Woo, Rev. Lee and me went to East Garden representing 54 couples we needed to repent in front of True Parents, but because of economic reasons not all of them could come, we asked forgiveness directly to God and True Parents. Our beloved True Parents warmly welcomed us and trusted us. My conclusion is, if Father sent me any place I will go for the rest of my life, I will go with my family, I will dedicate for God and True Parents, do my best and practice there. Father and Mother are teaching the true love tradition, Heung Jin Nim and Great mother are teaching this tradition also, I will do my best.

After the workshop Father declared these 54 couples as the national messiahs; Father drew a lottery and sent us to different countries. I am the national messiah for Switzerland, it has 7 million population. How amazing! Father is taking responsibility for our sins and those of our ancestors. I feel so unworthy, how can I accept this grace? This is such an incredible grace. However, Father needs us to become national messiahs. How can he be the king of kings if he does not have nations?

On May first after the leaders meeting I went to see Father so that he would appoint my successor because I have to go to Switzerland. Father said, "where is your elder son" I answered, In Ho, my eldest son is just about to graduate as a lawyer in September. Father said, "You stay in America, and send your son in place of you to Switzerland."

In conclusion, we are the fruits of the first resurrection.

So, brothers and sisters of America, please realize that God and True Parents are giving us the opportunity to pay indemnity to cleanse ourselves and to become qualified to be the chosen ones which the Bible talks about. We could become part of the 144,000 sealed by the Messiah. Father often talks about the "Registration to be part of the 12 tribes" That would happen only after we do Tribal Messiahship. And to accomplish this task, we must feel free from the burden of our fallen nature and from our evil spirits. We must feel free in our minds and in our hearts to be able to witness to our tribe. All the evil spirits which will come from us, they will be blessed after 1997. All our couples should get this cleansing, even our second generation. In the future, I would like to set up a place for these healings at Camp Sunrise in New York.
