The Words of the Kinney Family |
During the coronation ceremony in New York I had the privilege of being one of the photographers so I had a great view.
Hyung-Jin-nim and his wife followed True Parents into the room wearing royal robes and crowns as they did at the ceremony in Korea.
What I couldn’t help but notice was that Hyung-Jin-nim was bent over so deeply like he was so reluctant to wear any such fancy stuff. His posture was like a kid wearing his glasses to school for the first time in the sixth grade, like he didn’t want any one to see him with the crown on.
For the youngest son to be given the most senior position over his siblings is so awkward, so sensitive, so uncomfortable, especially for Hyung-Jin-nim.
I could see his brother’s and sister’s respect and deference for him. According to Kook-Jin-nim’s testimony when he visited the New Yorker, Hyung-Jin-nim has “walked the walk” and naturally subjugated most of his siblings.
During the coronation ceremony Hyung-Jin-nim’s couple and children sat apart from the rest of the True Children in a special place of honor. You could tell that they would have been much more comfortable if they were sitting together.
As Hyung-Jin-nim said on 17 January, he felt so much better after he took the crown of. You could see that.
The man that is too humble to want to wear a crown must be the one who is most suited for it.
That’s the report for now….
