The Meaning Of Father Scolding

There are stories about True Father scolding True Mother, Hyung-Jin-nim, In-Jin-nim, Kook-Jin-nim, Peter Kim and others on November 18, 2010. I wasn't there so I don't know what actually happened but I'd like to share about what I do know.

I have been severely scolded by True Father several times and seen many others including True Family scolded by True Father.

The first requirement to be scolded by True Father is that you have to be there in the room attending in order for Father to actually scold you.

The second requirement is that Father must care for you that he would devote extra attention to you.

The third requirement is that you must be able to accept these strong words with a sincere, humble repentful heart without resentment. Being scolded by Father is actually a great blessing but it depends on accepting the scolding with the right heart.

One time at East Garden a Japanese brother [Diakon Onuki] had made a big mistake and actually burned down a building. Father held a staff meeting and asked me to stand up and blasted me for burning down this building. I understood that this Japanese brother felt so bad that he might have even killed himself if Father had scolded him harshly.

Heavenly law required Father to judge those that burnt His building down but this brother could not accept it. Father scolded me because he trusted that my relationship with Him was strong enough that I could receive His scolding properly.

I was privileged to receive the blessing of being scolded by Father and I treasure this more than any kind words Father ever said to me.

When I hear about Father scolding True Mother, Hyung-Jin-nim, In-Jin-nim, and Kook-Jin-nim, I realize that just after that Father is holding three UPF World Assembly events. Father scolding and their receiving Father's scolding with the proper heart makes a tremendous condition of trust and unity to begin this tour.

It doesn't mean that those that received the scolding were the ones who deserved it. The ones scolded were the ones that Father trusted to receive it properly.

I think that it would have been so much better if Hyun-Jin had been there attending True Parents together with his siblings. Father would receive great joy if Hyun-Jin could take such a scolding and then join True Parents in the three UPF World Assembly events.
