The Words of the Redmond Family |
I had the privilege of discussing the development of Barrytown College on the Hudson with a group of alumni at Barrytown. I was struck by the active interest and thoughtfulness of the group. Good questions, good insights and generally very engaged.
I have been the project manager for the new college and have been working since last June to upgrade the property and help develop the programs. I have received invaluable assistance from UTS Alumni, among them Chad Hoover, Amy Cuhel-Shuckers, Eric Wenzel and Tom Froelich to name a few.
I find that my best advice comes from UTS graduates who have taken their education to the 'real world', leavened it with experience and now have a lot of useful and valuable ideas. Some of the best information I receive is about what not to do.
I did mention that since Barrytown College is a program of UTS, that all the UTS grads are honorary alumni of Barrytown College. Most colleges rely on their alumni for recruiting, participation, ideas and of course, new buildings.
For now, I am grateful for the accumulated wisdom that UTS grads have been sharing and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.
