CAUSA Seminars
Reverend Moon founded CAUSA International in 1980 as a result of the efforts by the Soviet Union and Cuba to foment communist revolution in Latin America following the communist takeover of Nicaragua in 1979. Hundreds of CAUSA seminars were held in Central and in South America. They had a profound impact on Latin American youth and leadership. CAUSA emphasized the message of " God or no God," which had a strong impact on those who participated.
The seminars were so successful that they were soon imported back to the United States and served as the basis for CAUSA USA programs that reached thousands of American leaders in the mid-1980s.
