The International Media Association for Peace IMAP
To bequeath the legacy of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who have devoted their lives in realizing a moral world, media professionals will gather at the World Assembly of IMAP and discuss deeply about a path to realizing a moral world and world of lasting peace through media. The IMAP strives to form associations and cooperations by having discussions on the roles and responsibilities of media professionals on the reunification of the Korean Peninsula. In addition, the IMAP strives to form a global network of media professionals for the achievement of a world with lasting and sustainable peace. In February 2020, the inauguration of the International Media Association for Peace will be held in Seoul, South Korea.
The Assembly of the International Media Association for Peace
The Assembly of the International Media Association for Peace will be co-hosted by the Segye Ilbo (Korea), The Washington Times (US), and the World Journal or Sekai Nippo (Japan). At the Assembly of IMAP, about 500 media professionals from around the world will gather to discuss on the roles and responsibilities of media professionals for the reunification of the Korean Peninsula, innovations that could be made in the field of media and challenges that the media field is facing. The IMAP strives to form a global network of media professionals for the achievement of a world with lasting and sustainable peace, centered on the ideals of interdependence, mutual prosperity and universal values. At the Assembly, there will be an adoption of a resolution of media professionals for the achievement of world peace and the inauguration of the International Media Association for Peace, in commitment of exploring the path to realizing a moral world through media.
